Young Readers Literature
Strengthening reading and literary analysis skills through novel reading. The class is designed to increase interest in and knowledge of young adult literature, not just classics, but newer works as well. Students in this course will read books written specifically for the adolescent, as well as book that transcend any sort of audience classification. The intent is to accrue first and second hand knowledge of these texts for the purpose of making informed classroom selections as well as appropriate recommendations to individual readers.
